CO2 Containers Lead to Arrest at Sheetz in Washington Square Plaza

Location: 10 Washington Square Plaza, Stafford VA
Time: 6/22 3:35 p.m.

Deputies investigating a report of suspected drug activity at a Sheetz convenience store encountered an individual allegedly suffering from impairment while inside a vehicle. According to authorities, witnesses reported the suspect would lower their head, appear unconscious for several minutes, and then suddenly regain awareness.

When the deputy made contact, the suspect reportedly displayed lethargic speech and provided incoherent statements. Investigators also observed a container of CO2 in the suspect’s lap. Following the arrest, a search of the vehicle uncovered additional CO2 containers and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Danielle Adelstein of King George. Adelstein was charged with public intoxication and inhaling noxious chemical substances. She was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail and held until sober.
