Convicted Felon Arrested with Firearm and Machete on Warrenton Road

A traffic stop on Warrenton Road led to the arrest of a Richmond man who was found to be wanted in Hanover County and in possession of multiple weapons.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle for an expired inspection sticker. During the investigation, authorities learned the driver was a convicted felon with outstanding warrants.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a firearm and a machete. The driver, identified as Demon Gunter, 42, of Richmond, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was also served with the outstanding warrants and held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
