A Stafford man was arrested Tuesday morning after deputies responded to reports of an individual standing nude near train tracks on Courthouse Road.
Deputies arriving at the scene located Randall Gawthrop, 64, allegedly nude inside a vehicle. Authorities reported that Gawthrop showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and an unsteady balance.
During the investigation, deputies also discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Gawthrop was charged with public intoxication and indecent exposure. He was later held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
