An Instacart driver attempting to complete a delivery was assaulted by an intoxicated customer who tried to take alcohol by force. Deputy D.S. Jett, though not yet on duty, was flagged down and responded. He located the suspect attempting to drive and detained her. The woman was charged with assault and battery and public intoxication. She is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
