Deputy Oloye responded to a larceny complaint involving a vehicle repair dispute at 1st Auto Gallery.
The victim reported sending money to a mechanic they believed worked at the dealership to complete repairs on their vehicle. The suspect reportedly arranged for the vehicle to be towed and told the victim the work would take several weeks.
According to the victim, communication with the suspect later stopped. The victim then learned the suspect had reportedly left the country and had not worked at the dealership for several months.
Deputy Oloye contacted the suspect, who claimed the delay was due to being out of the United States and that they had attempted to coordinate repairs with technicians. The victim chose to give the suspect additional time to resolve the matter before pursuing charges.
