A domestic disturbance call early Tuesday morning led to the arrest of an intoxicated man on Sledgehammer Drive. According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy R.A. Kehoe arrived at the scene after a third party reported the incident. The deputy discovered that the victim had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The suspect, who appeared visibly intoxicated in public, was arrested and charged with assault and battery as well as public intoxication. He was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail and held until sober.
