DUI: Area of Richmond Highway and Jason Lane Stafford VA

Deputy R. Tully was traveling Northbound when he observed a SUV ahead of him swerving and traveling 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Deputy Tully conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. When asked for a reason for his speed, the driver advised “no reason.” There was apparently no reason for his swerving as well, despite admitting to having “a few Jack and Cokes.” The driver would also have a revoked license from a previous DUI last year. The driver was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years, driving after forfeiture of his license, reckless driving, and the traffic lane violation. He would end up trick-or-treating in Rappahannock Regional Jail for he was held without bond.
