Deputy C.R. Newman was transporting an individual to Rappahannock Regional Jail when he observed a Dodge failing to maintain the lane of travel. Due to the poor driving behavior, Deputy J.A. Martin and Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to conduct a traffic stop. The driver had signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming beer prior to driving, and an open container of Mike’s Hard Lemonade was located in the center console. She would also have a suspended license. Just like Deputy Newman’s passenger, she too was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail where she was charged with driving under the influence, drinking while driving, driving while suspended, and the traffic lane violation. She was held on a $1,000 secured bond.
