Sergeant J.D. Hurt observed a vehicle making erratic movements and conducted a traffic stop. The driver showed signs of intoxication and claimed he had not consumed “that much” alcohol. He was charged with driving under the influence and refusal. Due to his unwillingness to provide truthful statements, he was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending a bond hearing.
