A woman was arrested on DUI and assault charges after deputies responded to a crash involving a vehicle that struck a fence.
Investigators found two individuals involved in an altercation near the crashed vehicle. The driver admitted to consuming alcohol before driving and showed signs of impairment.
A breath test later indicated the driver’s blood alcohol concentration exceeded the legal limit. Authorities also reported that another individual sustained bruises and abrasions.
Kelly Durham, 40, of Tappahannock, was charged with driving under the influence and assault and battery. She was held without bond.
