Deputy Sayegh responded to a report of an intoxicated driver at the Sheetz on Garrisonville Road.
The driver admitted to consuming several alcoholic beverages before driving. A field sobriety test was administered and deputies determined the driver was impaired.
The driver, Taylor Cope, 28, of Stafford, was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office. A breath test confirmed the driver’s blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit. Cope was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
