DUI: Kings Highway Stafford VA

Deputy N.J. Amato was stopped at the Washington Square Plaza intersection. When the light turned green, the Kia next to him got the sudden need for speed and floored it. On this highway to the danger zone, the Kia reached speeds of 70 MPH and Deputy Amato conducted a traffic stop. The driver had signs of intoxication and advised she consumed “barely anything.” Apparently, “barely anything” consisted of beer and an espresso martini. After field sobriety tests, the driver was espresso-ly transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail where she was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. She was held until sober. 1/26/25 1:47 a.m.
