DUI: Pelican Cove Stafford VA

Deputy R. Tully was in the area when he observed a motorcycle run a stop sign at the Port Aquia Drive and Schooner Way intersection. The motorcyclist would then take off through the residential area at a high rate of speed. Deputy Tully would conduct a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. The driver, who had signs of intoxication, admitted it was “easier” just to do a rolling stop instead of following the rules of the road. He would also admit to consuming at least one beer. He was charged with driving under the influence, failure to stop at a stop sign, reckless driving, and refusal. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
