Sergeant S. C. Jett initiated a traffic stop on Butler Road after observing a vehicle being driven without headlights. Deputy M. A. Holub assisted with the stop.
The driver admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to driving. Following field sobriety tests, the driver was taken into custody.
Savanna Willard, 23, of Spotsylvania, was charged with driving under the influence and driving without headlights. She was released on an unsecured bond.
