Deputy A.J. Charoenthep responded to a larceny call on Shasta Place where a victim reported that an old iPhone and a pair of AirPods were stolen from their vehicle. Minutes later, at 5:04 a.m., another resident on the same street flagged down the deputy to report their own vehicle had been unlawfully entered. Stolen items in that incident included hunting gear and children’s swimwear. Authorities are investigating whether the thefts are connected.
