Deputy R. Tully responded to the lobby for an extortion report. The victim advised he received an email in which the sender stated he knew the victim visited “darker corners of the cyberspace.” To avoid information and pictures from being released, the sender demanded nearly $2,000 worth of Bitcoin. The victim knew this to not be real, did not comply, and reported it.
