Stafford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fraud case after a resident reported unauthorized bank transactions following an online purchase.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim purchased an item through Facebook Marketplace before discovering several unauthorized transactions on their bank account.
The victim immediately contacted their bank, which canceled the affected card. A police report was completed to assist with the ongoing investigation into the fraudulent activity.
