Deputy Jett observed a vehicle with an expired license plate at a Sheetz location on Kings Highway during the early morning hours of February 18.
Upon further investigation, the driver was found to have an outstanding warrant for arrest. After the vehicle left the parking lot, a traffic stop was initiated and the driver was taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle revealed two digital scales containing white powdery residue. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Ivan Gomez of Ruther Glen, was charged with felony possession of a Schedule I/II controlled substance.
The scales were seized and submitted into evidence.
