A Fredericksburg woman was arrested on a driving under the influence charge after crashing her vehicle into a ditch early Tuesday morning.
Deputies responded to Richmond Highway and Bells Hill Road after receiving reports of a vehicle that had left the roadway. During their investigation, the driver displayed several signs of impairment, including glassy eyes, an unsteady balance, and the odor of alcohol.
Field sobriety tests were conducted, but the driver declined to provide a breath sample at the scene. After being taken to the Sheriff’s Office, a breath test showed the driver’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit.
Andrea Zuniga-Garcia, 23, of Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
