A Fredericksburg man was arrested after deputies investigated reports of shots fired in Stafford County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect allegedly argued with another driver before firing two shots and leaving the area. Investigators later located the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby residence.
Deputies said the suspect admitted to drinking alcohol before driving and showed signs of impairment. A firearm with a loaded magazine and a spent shell casing were recovered from the residence.
Darrell Cooper, 64, of Fredericksburg, was charged with disorderly conduct, brandishing a firearm, and reckless handling of a firearm.
