The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vandalism incident involving damage to a van’s fuel tank on Warrenton Road.
Deputy Ramos responded to the area on October 12 after a vehicle owner reported that their van had begun leaking gasoline after being parked in a parking lot.
Upon examining the vehicle, the owner discovered what appeared to be a hole drilled into the gas tank.
Authorities reported that no surveillance cameras were available in the area to capture the incident.
The sheriff’s office did not identify any suspects or provide an estimated cost of the damage.
