First Sergeant M. L. Jacobeen initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 105 mph in a 65 mph zone and passing vehicles on the right shoulder. The driver, Frank Armenteros, 36, of Alexandria, was found with an open Budweiser can, another alcoholic beverage, and two concealed firearms. He was charged with DUI (third or subsequent offense), reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, two counts of possession of a concealed weapon, and passing on the shoulder. He was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
