Deputy Vaughn observed a vehicle traveling 60 mph in a 40 mph zone and attempted a traffic stop. The driver accelerated, ran a red light, and reached speeds exceeding 80 mph while weaving through traffic.
Deputy Vaughn conducted a high-risk stop after making contact with the vehicle. The driver complied with commands and was taken into custody. The vehicle displayed a temporary tag with no DMV return and improper registration details.
Ahmad Abdel Aziz, 18, of Stafford, was charged with reckless driving, eluding police, possessing a title issued to another, a traffic lane violation, no registration, and failure to obey traffic lights. Abdel Aziz was held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
