A woman turning herself in for a hit-and-run charge showed up to the jail intoxicated, leading to an additional charge.
Deputy J.J. Holetzky was processing the suspect when it became clear she had been drinking. Since her intoxicated state was visible to the public, she was charged with public intoxication along with her outstanding warrant. She was booked into Rappahannock Regional Jail and is being held without bond.
