A man turning himself in to serve a court-mandated sentence at Rappahannock Regional Jail ended up facing new charges. During intake, staff discovered suspected controlled substances in his possession. Deputy R.H. Ryan charged the man with possession of controlled substances and possession of contraband in a jail. He is being held without bond.
