An impaired driver was arrested Wednesday night after stopping in the middle of the roadway on Musselman Road. Deputy R.A. Kehoe approached the vehicle, but the driver decided to flee, leading officers on a short pursuit.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, eventually pulled into a business at 375 Warrenton Road, where he was quickly detained. Showing clear signs of intoxication, he admitted to consuming beer earlier that evening. He was charged with DUI (blood alcohol content above .2), eluding police, and stopping on the highway. He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
