Intoxicated Man Arrested at Hardee’s on Prosperity Lane

Deputy Helbling responded to a report of an intoxicated person at the Hardee’s on Prosperity Lane after receiving information about a man causing concern in the area. When deputies arrived, they observed the suspect showing signs of impairment, including slurred speech and difficulty maintaining balance.

Authorities later discovered an alcoholic beverage on the suspect. While being transported to the Magistrate’s Office, the man allegedly admitted to consuming two bottles of alcohol earlier in the day and also made threats toward the deputy.

The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Christopher Hurley of Stafford. Hurley was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
