Deputy Osborne responded to a disturbance involving an intoxicated individual outside the Giant grocery store on Worth Avenue. Upon arrival, the deputy located the suspect sitting on a bench in front of the store with three open alcoholic beverages nearby.
Authorities noted the man showed clear signs of impairment, including glossy eyes and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The suspect was identified as Rolando Santos Velasquez, 39, of Hyattsville, and was arrested for public intoxication. He was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail where he was held until sober.
