Deputy X.D. Bates responded to a report of an intoxicated individual at the Super 8 Motel. Witnesses said the man, who had a ponytail, was attempting to throw rocks at people. Upon arrival, the deputy found the suspect clearly intoxicated. He resisted arrest and became unruly but was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was charged with public intoxication and obstruction of justice and held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
