Deputy X.D. Bates responded to a reported assault at Parkridge Pool. A verbal altercation on the basketball court escalated when a suspect attempted to “break the jaw” of a juvenile. Fortunately, the victim was not injured. The suspect was charged with assault and battery and is currently being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.
