Deputy X.D. Bates was on scene of a solicitor report when staff made contact with him. This observant staff member advised they observed a male suspect concealing items into his backpack. Deputy Bates located the suspect attempting to leave with a filled bag of unpaid merchandise. The over $100 worth of items was returned to the business and the suspect was issued a summons for shoplifting.
