Location: 15 Wyche Road, Stafford VA Time: October 4, 2026, 5:56 p.m.
A 42-year-old Manassas Park man was arrested following a disturbance at a Sheetz convenience store on Wyche Road.
Sergeant Sypolt responded to the location and encountered an individual displaying signs of possible alcohol impairment, including slurred speech, unsteady balance, and a strong odor of alcohol.
During the investigation, store employees reported that the individual had taken merchandise without paying.
Deputies subsequently located the reported stolen items inside the suspect’s vehicle.
A records check also revealed that the individual was wanted on outstanding warrants from Stafford County.
The suspect was identified as Paul Grimes, 42, of Manassas Park.
Grimes was charged with shoplifting and public intoxication and served with the outstanding warrants.
He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
