Stafford County sheriff’s deputies responded to 540 Auto on Cambridge Street after receiving a burglary-in-progress call involving a man reportedly inside the business after hours.
Witnesses also reported seeing a man walking around the parking lot and acting suspiciously. Deputies located a man who was stumbling around the parking lot while carrying a small bottle of wine.
According to the sheriff’s office, the man acknowledged trespassing at the business. He was identified as 25-year-old Dwayne Gray of Stafford.
Gray was charged with unlawful entry, vehicle tampering and public intoxication. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on an unsecured bond.
