A 25-year-old Fredericksburg resident faces multiple charges following an early-morning crash on Eskimo Hill Road.
Deputy Jensen responded to the crash and reported that the driver showed signs of impairment, including slurred speech and an unsteady balance. Field sobriety tests were administered, but the driver declined a breath sample. Open alcoholic beverages were reportedly discovered during a search of the vehicle.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver later refused to provide a blood or breath sample. Authorities also reported finding narcotics on the driver’s person at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
The driver was identified as Maverick Cabezas Aguilera, 25, of Fredericksburg. Cabezas Aguilera was charged with driving under the influence, refusal to test, possession of controlled substances and felony by a prisoner. Cabezas Aguilera was held without bond.
