A traffic stop early Tuesday morning at Richmond Highway and Centreport Parkway resulted in the arrests of two people on narcotics charges, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
First Sergeant Assur observed a vehicle being driven erratically and conducted a traffic stop. When the deputy made contact with the occupants, narcotics were reportedly visible on the driver’s person.
Authorities searched the vehicle and found additional narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, identified as Hung Pham, 54, of Springfield, and passenger, Thuong Nguyen, 31, of Fredericksburg, were arrested. Both were charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on secured bonds.
