Outstanding Warrant Discovered During DUI Arrest on Warrenton Road

A disturbance investigation on Warrenton Road led to the arrest of a Fredericksburg man on driving under the influence charges and the service of an outstanding warrant.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded after receiving reports of a man yelling from his vehicle. Deputies said the driver displayed signs of alcohol impairment and refused both field sobriety testing and a breath test.

During the investigation, deputies discovered the man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. An open alcoholic beverage container was later found inside the vehicle.

The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Mohammad Barakzi of Fredericksburg, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to test. He was also served on the outstanding warrant and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
