Filing taxes might drive some to drink—but doing so in broad daylight, in public, and in front of law enforcement? That led to a charge.
At 1:37 p.m. on April 3, Deputy A.E. Epps spotted a man stumbling near Leite & Surfer Tax Service on Warrenton Road. He was holding a brown paper bag and drinking from a can of Miller Lite. The man showed clear signs of intoxication and was taken into custody.
He’s now facing a public intoxication charge and was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until he sobered up.
