Deputies responded to a disturbance near Chili’s at Stafford Marketplace, where a suspect was seen running across the parking lot. Upon contact, deputies observed clear signs of intoxication, including the odor of alcohol and glassy eyes.
The individual admitted to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages earlier in the day and was taken into custody without further incident. Leahlynn Clyburn Edwards, 27, of Stafford, was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
