Deputy X.D. Bates responded to an unknown problem. It was advised that a male was lying in the dirt. Deputy Bates located the dirt-covered suspect in an intoxicated state. The suspect advised he consumed five beers at a friend’s party. He was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
