A robbery at the 7-Eleven on Deacon Road turned violent when a man attempted to steal cigars and struck a store clerk. The suspect, identified as Khari Hunter, 26, of Stafford, initially left a drink on the counter, returned to grab merchandise, and then punched the clerk before fleeing with the drink. Deputies quickly located and arrested Hunter outside the store. He was charged with robbery and held on a secure bond.
