A 33-year-old Woodbridge man faces multiple charges after a deputy stopped a vehicle reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on Interstate 95.
The Sheriff’s Office said the driver showed signs of impairment and admitted consuming alcohol. He declined field sobriety tests and a breath sample and was arrested.
Deputies reported finding narcotics during a search of the driver and open alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The driver later refused to provide a breath or blood sample at the Sheriff’s Office.
Willfredo Bermudez, 33, of Woodbridge, was charged with driving under the influence, drinking while operating a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and refusal to test. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
