Stafford Man Arrested After Alleged Hit-and-Run on Garrisonville Road

A 19-year-old Stafford man was arrested after deputies connected him to a hit-and-run crash on Route 610.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Parkway Boulevard and Garrisonville Road after receiving a report that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 610 had been rear-ended. The victim told deputies the other driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses provided additional information about the suspect vehicle.

While investigating, Sergeant Leckemby responded to another crash on Berkshire Drive involving a vehicle matching the description. During the investigation, the driver admitted to striking the victim’s vehicle while racing.

Anthony Castro Asencio, 19, of Stafford, was arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run and reckless driving. He was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held without bond.
