Deputy Osborne responded to a disturbance on Burning Tree Court after a resident reported a suspect entered their backyard and made crude comments before fleeing. Deputies later located the suspect at a nearby residence, where he initially refused to cooperate.
Investigators say the suspect suddenly ran to a family member’s vehicle and drove away before losing control and crashing into a nearby residence. The suspect fled on foot but was eventually detained by deputies.
Robert Winters Jr., 20, of Stafford, was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving under the influence, grand larceny, two counts of hit and run, and reckless driving.
