Jimmy Matamoros, 42, of Stafford, was arrested after allegedly crashing his vehicle and attempting to flee the scene. Witnesses reported seeing him discard alcohol and try to prevent them from contacting police. When deputies arrived, Matamoros provided false identification and denied driving. He then fled on foot and resisted arrest before being detained. He refused sobriety testing, and deputies later found discarded beer cans nearby. Matamoros faces several charges, including Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Driving on a Revoked License, Obstructing Justice, and Identity Theft. He is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
