Sergeant Leckemby conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle make an illegal U-turn.
The driver admitted to consuming one to two alcoholic beverages and displayed signs of impairment. Field sobriety testing and a breath sample indicated a blood alcohol content above the legal limit. A subsequent blood test confirmed the result.
Dahmel White, 37, of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bail until sober.
