A Stafford County resident discovered that a vehicle tag had apparently been stolen after receiving a ticket involving a vehicle they did not own.
The victim contacted the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after receiving the ticket in the mail and seeing their license plate displayed on another vehicle.
The license plate was entered into law enforcement records as stolen.
