Deputy Kotvas responded to a report of a stolen vehicle located at the Sleep Inn on Warrenton Road.
Upon investigation, the vehicle was confirmed stolen by the Metropolitan Police Department on February 22, 2026. The vehicle was found unoccupied and undamaged at the hotel.
Hotel management informed deputies that the suspect had indicated they would return later in the afternoon to retrieve the vehicle. The identification used to rent the hotel room was also reported stolen from the victim.
Deputy Kotvas notified the vehicle’s owner of the recovery and gathered additional information regarding the possible suspect as the investigation continues.
