Deputy Sayegh observed a suspect with an active warrant near Warrenton Road and attempted to make contact at the individual’s residence.
When deputies approached, the suspect fled on foot, prompting a pursuit by Deputy Jones and Deputy Sayegh. During the chase, the suspect fell in a wooded area and was taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as William Helton, 46, of Spotsylvania, and was charged with fleeing from law enforcement. He was also served with his outstanding warrant and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
