Three Arrested Following DUI Investigation on Lawhorn Road

A suspicious person call on Lawhorn Road led to the arrests of three Stafford residents during an early morning traffic stop.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information that a person in a vehicle had threatened to shoot people. A deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, finding three occupants inside.

Deputies reported all three individuals displayed signs of alcohol impairment. The driver completed field sobriety tests but refused to provide a breath sample. After being transported to the Sheriff’s Office, the driver again refused to submit to breath or blood testing.

The driver, identified as 38-year-old Carlin Wilkins of Stafford, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to test. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond.

The two passengers, Brandon Locke, 36, and Jeffery Mack, 37, both of Stafford, were arrested and charged with public intoxication. They were held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
