A 28-year-old Bowling Green man was arrested on weapons and traffic charges following a vehicle stop near Blue and Gray Parkway and Kings Highway.
Deputy Daigle of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office initiated the traffic stop after observing a vehicle with an expired inspection.
During the investigation, the deputy determined that the vehicle was unregistered and that the driver had previous convictions.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a firearm inside the glove compartment.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators confirmed that the driver did not have a concealed carry permit.
The man was charged with driving with an expired inspection, driving with an expired registration, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
He was released on an unsecured bond.
